Based on the intriguing teaser trailer above, it looks like the upcoming Suspria remake has developed its own visual identity rather the attempting to emulate the opulent production design and colorful cinematography of Dario Argento’s 1978 original.
I think that’s a smart approach by director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name), as there’s simply no topping the Italian horror classic’s style. Written by David Kajganich (The Terror), the film be released on November 2 via Amazon Studios.
Tilda Swinton (Doctor Strange), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey), Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness), Lutz Ebersdorf, and original Suspiria actress Jessica Harper star. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke composed the score.
